Brien Convery

Brien went to school at the University of Hartford, Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations.


Chris Patinios

Chris Patinios is recognized as a professional in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. Chris is focused on working closing with the businesses to build recruitment and retention strategies. Chris is focused on exploring tools and techniques to improve the Talent Attraction function and help companies to succeed. Chris lives in Whitby with his wife Cara, kids Zoe (21) and Nicolas (19) and his dog children Lily (Shih Tzu) and Daisy (Havanese). Chris’s hobbies include hiking, camping (more cottaging now), and he is a huge comic book geek (seriously ask him anything).


Maurice Scott

Maurice, or Mo is an experienced and successful bilingual (French / English) human resources and talent management specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the Human Resources industry. With a solid track record of success filling those "hard to fill jobs" including executive “C” suite level roles to those challenging wealth management or technology roles. In addition, Maurice has successfully developed onboarding and hiring manuals, employee handbooks, and codes of conduct. Key metrics to help build and project success for your company whether you company is global or local. Mo is an Executive Talent Acquisition Leader for the Information Technology and Wealth Management group for TD. For more than 20 years Mo has been a Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partner for start ups to large matrix corporations. Industries include technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals and startups. Mo ’s strengths are partnering and developing strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business success and market growth. Talent Management and Recruitment are vital aspects of HR because having the right people for each role is critical for long term business success and viability. Mo has a passion for helping kids and adults with special needs and is a member of Autism Ontario. He volunteers his time helping young kids and adults progress their capabilities through sport and social activities. Beyond the doors of work Mo spends his time with his kids, coaching sports, organizing fundraisers for special needs groups, adventure travelling and training for triathlon's.


Kate McLarty

Kate McLarty is a Human Resources Director supporting the Personal and Business Banking Strategy and Transformation group at CIBC. For 6+ years she was HR business partner to various teams across Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation and, prior to this, held progressive positions in Talent Acquisition including managing a team of Talent Acquisition Partners. As Global Co-Chair of CIBC’s Pride Network from 2013-2019, Kate helped advance inclusion of LGBT+ team members and she is currently contributing to the bank’s commitment to reconciliation as an ally committee member of the CIBC Indigenous Employee Circle. Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time outdoors with her wife, daughter, and their “double doodle” Mavis and indoors reading, cooking, and trying to win at board games.
