This webinar explains what the costs and obligations of professionhood are and how they are related to the social contract between the profession and the public.

Claude Balthazard, CHRP, CHRL, Vice President - Regulatory Affairs & Registrar

Claude is Vice-President Regulatory Affairs and Registrar at the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), the professional regulatory body for HR professionals in Ontario. Claude joined HRPA in 2007. Since joining HRPA, Claude has championed the cause of the professionalization of HR by developing the Rules of Professional Conduct, by pushing for HRPA’s new public act, and by leading the development of HRPA’s updated Human Resources Competency Framework and its new designation framework. Claude has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Waterloo (1985), is a registered psychologist (I/O Psychology) in the Province of Ontario, and holds the CHRL designation.
