Grand Valley: 11.21.18 The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Managing Change
Emotional Intelligence is about our emotional
and social functioning and during times of change it becomes especially
critical that we learn to manage our own emotions and those of others. Although
organizational change is often necessary it brings with it anxiety, fear and
stress. Research shows that people with high EI are able to manage with
resilience, empathy and flexibility, providing important stability, care and
calm during turbulent times. By the end of this workshop participants will have
solid understanding of the stages of change, the emotions that accompany each
of the stages and how to support people through them with high emotional
intelligence.
