Speaker bio(s)
Craig Tilford

Craig graduated from Mohawk over 30 years ago and since then worked for the top three global insurance brokers, the largest insurer in the world and sat on Advisory Boards nationally and internationally for the two largest insurers in the world. He ran a global Risk Management team at TELUS’ Head Office in BC and consulted to over 30% of Canada’s largest corporations. (Globe & Mail) In 2017 he’d had enough of trying to drive organizations priorities. Or more realistically, he couldn’t allow that drive to harm his life and health any more. He came out and admitted to himself that his decades of struggling with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and Panic Attacks was too much to carry on. He sought and got serious help, and then found a new passion. Craig believes in the power of people. And in 2017 he launched London’s first Mental Health Peer Support group, joined the Board of Family Services Thames Valley and is engaged in London’s Youth Wellness Hub Action Coalition, Ministry of Justice’s Community Justice Centres and CONNECT For Mental Health. He is also an OPDI Intern and continues to provide Peer Support to individuals across Ontario. July 2018, Craig purchased Stressed Out Solutions (SOS) to focus on helping thousands of people instead of just a few dozen. He believes since work can be a cause of Mental Health Illness, the workplace is great place to start. He believes a culture of Mental Health Wellness will build better relationships with co-workers, family and environments for children to learn Mental Health resiliency. Under Craig’s leadership, SOS has expanded into more of corporate Canada, added more Programs and Courses, launched Canada’s first “Wellness Analytics” for measuring teams Wellness and has even more measurement and ROI projects in the works.
