Dorothy Gordon – Human Resources Consultant: Career Advisor Practitioner
Dorothy is a Human Resources Professional/Career Coach who possesses over 30 years of hands on private and public sector experience. She is a graduate of York University, where she obtained her a B.A. in Psychology, and has been a member in good standing of the Human Resources Professional Organization of Ontario. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and holds a Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP).
 Dorothy became head of Franklin Templeton’s Human Resources Department where she led the Canadian operation and was instrumental in helping this company build a presence in the Canadian Market, through the implementation of cutting-edge HR operational and strategic initiatives. Since 1999, she has been consulting within the in Finance, Energy, Technology and Education streams and has successfully developed and implemented innovative best practices within these industries.  

Dorothy has designed and delivered career workshops at  U of T for graduating post secondary students to help them market their critical thinking skills to potential employers. She has now dedicated herself to coaching and mentoring students to enable them to discover their value proposition so they can effectively showcase their personal brand in a engaging, dynamic and memorable way to future employers.
