Peel: 09.19.16 Employment Networking Group: What Talent Acquisition Professionals Are Looking For
HRPAP's ENG provides a supportive environment for unemployed HR professionals to strengthen job search skills and network with their HR colleagues during these challenging times of high regional unemployment.
During this ENG you will gain advice, information, feedback and general insight in to what Talent Acquisition professionals are looking for in resumes and interviews so that the job seekers can use that information to leave a better impression and increase their chances when applying to larger companies and recruiters
There will be 4 Talent Acquisition professionals stationed at 4 tables each with a small group of participants. Each Talent Acquisition professional will do a 15 minute presentation or discussion piece on how the process works behind the scenes. They will also be prepared to discuss what they are looking for on resumes and what they are looking for in interviews along with any other information that the potential job seekers would find relevant. This will be followed by 30-45 minutes of open discussion and questions from the group and if time permits some role playing with important interview questions and feedback from the Talent Acquisition professional.

Lisa has 13 years of Talent Acquisition experience working both agency and corporate roles. Lisa has worked on various staff and senior level roles in her time at with some of Canada’s largest employers including; Robert Half Canada, Samsung, Sears and Maple Leaf

Lisa has 19+ years recruitment and Talent Acquisition experience. Lisa worked on various staff and management level roles working with some of the most reputable recruiting firms in the GTA from 1997 to 2012 when she made the switch to the corporate side where she continues her passion for matching people with opportunities at Canada’s largest operator in the senior living sector, Chartwell Retirement Residences
Seema has 19+ years experience in HR and talent acquisition. Seema started her career overseas working in HR management roles before moving to Canada in when she pursued a career in Talent Acquisition. Seema has spent the last 4 years in Talent Acquisition roles with 2 large Canadian based companies, Canadian Tire and Sofina Foods. Seema is now HR Manager with Sofina Foods.
