New Business Program for Young Professionals
,

Early-career professionals are obtaining higher levels of education than ever before, yet many employers still feel they are unprepared for the realities of the workplace. Help your early-career employees learn both the hard and soft skills necessary to succeed through the Advanced Digital and Professional Training program (ADaPT) program.
Initially, Ryerson University's ADaPT program was designed as an employment-linked training program bridging the skills-gap of recent graduates through specialized training. Over the past year, the ADaPT program has begun expanding its work-integrated learning model through partnerships with organizations like the HRPA.
The program is offered to youth between ages 18 – 29 who are recent company hires, as well as students who have completed or are in the final year of completing a degree or diploma. ADaPT takes a hands-on, interactive approach to learning, where students are guided through each session by industry professionals and apply those skills in class by completing exercises.
Two streams, digital training and professional training, are covered in the program to offer participants the opportunity to build and strengthen both hard and soft skills. This well-rounded, interdisciplinary training equips young professionals with the tools to apply their technical skills in the workplace, as well as communicate effectively in a professional setting.
Learning objectives:
- Increase youth employability in Ontario through skills training, coaching and access to peer network.
- Increase digital and professional skills of entry level employees through work-integrated, employer-focused learning.
