Durham: 11.20.17 Employee Engagement: Helping Employees "Own" Engagement

# 1 - EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: HELPING EMPLOYEES 'OWN' ENGAGEMENT

There is not a shortage of advice on what leaders/managers must do to improve employee engagement. 'Communicate your vision', recognize your staff', 'be a better coach or mentor' are some of the well-worn adages. But there is limited guidance on how to help employees take responsibility for their own engagement.  Based on TalentMap's award-winning employee engagement solutions, this practical "how to" session shows how to effectively engage your people with three highly effective tools including '1 On 1's', 'Stay Interviews' and 'Job Crafting'.

Sean Fitzpatrick of TalentMap, will provide surprising new insights into employee engagement and arm you with practical tools that you can use in your workplace immediately. Drawing on emerging academic research and practical insight, Sean provides an overview of each tool as well as an opportunity to practice them on the spot in this highly interactive session.

Who Should Participate

This lecture is designed to directly impact employee engagement, performance, and retention. All audience members will be equipped with talent solutions that they can immediately implement in their workplace to impact the organization's human capital results and bottom line performance. •    A clear evidence based working definition of employee engagement and its key components
